Fiona holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Ryerson University in Toronto and a post-graduate dietetic internship at Sick Kids Hospital. Licensed with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO), Fiona is also a member of Dietitians of Canada (DC).
She has held various leadership positions in dietetics, as a member of the Board of the
CDO, chair of the Professional Practice Counsel at Kingston General Hospital, and has
received numerous awards for team collaboration, DC volunteer work, and research
Fiona has over 30 years of experience as a dietitian, bringing a wealth of experience in
diabetes, chronic disease, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, and disordered eating. She
discovered her passion for obesity management while recently working at the Bariatric Centre of Excellence at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Fiona believes in combining whole foods, fresh ingredients and simple cooking, along with a joyful approach, in achieving clients’ best health outcomes. She understands how to translate medical and nutritional evidence into real-life, enjoyable eating plans for clients.
When not in the clinic, you can always find Fiona cooking, working in her perennial and
vegetable gardens, or hiking with her dog.
